The authors sincerely apologize for the errors that appeared in the published article [1] and request the following corrections:
(1) References [12] and [32] were duplicate citations. The correct references are:
[12] Cao J, Ni Y, Ning X, Zhang H. Wedelolactone ameliorates synovial inflammation and cardiac complications in a murine model of collagen-induced arthritis by inhibiting NF-κB/NLRP3 inflammasome activation. Folia Histochemica et Cytobiologica. 2022; 60: 301–310.
[32] Benes P, Alexova P, Knopfova L, Spanova A, Smarda J. Redox state alters anti-cancer effects of wedelolactone. Environmental and Molecular Mutagenesis. 2012; 53: 515–524.
(2) Reference [27] originally cited in the article does not adequately support its accompanying statement and should be replaced with the following reference.
[27] Lee JS, Ahn JH, Cho YJ, Kim HY, Yang YI, Lee KT, et al. α-Terthienylmethanol, isolated from Eclipta prostrata, induces apoptosis by generating reactive oxygen species via NADPH oxidase in human endometrial cancer cells. Journal of Ethnopharmacology. 2015; 169: 426–434.
Accordingly, the citations in the text where [27] appeared should be corrected to [19, 27]. The corrected sentence now reads:
“As a widely accepted traditional medicine, Ecliptae Herba is known to exert a liver protective function and contribute to apoptosis induction of Hela and endometrial cancer cells [19, 27], whereas the components responsible for these actions need to be further explored.”
The authors regret any confusion these inaccuracies may have caused to readers and the editorial team. The authors state that the scientific conclusions are unaffected.
