A 16-year-old female presented with extreme lower abdominal pain, increasingly severe distension of abdomen, and difficulty breathing after strenuous exercise in the past eight days. Emergency exploratory laparotomy was performed and a large right ovarian tumor with rupture in the back of the tumor and active hemorrhage was seen. Final pathologic report suggested ovarian Burkitt lymphoma (BL). The patient recovered very well after the surgery and was referred to the oncology unit for further chemotherapy.
