Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Gynecological tumors, including breast cancer, cervical squamous carcinoma, endometrial cancer and etc., throw great threats on female health and lay considerable domestic and social economic burden. Large progresses have been achieved in the understanding, prevention as well as treatment for gynecological tumors, such as vaccine for cervical cancer and immunotherapy for triple negative breast cancer. However, underlying mechanisms of most of the gynecological tumors are still currently poorly understood, which largely impedes the development of their early diagnosis and effective treatment. Additionally, intrinsic heterogeneity among patients derives differences in treatment response and their prognosis. Gene mutation and aberrant gene expression underlies the development and prognostic differences of gynecological tumors, and uncover of those abnormal molecular events could contribute our understanding of and should be helpful for the identification of valuable biomarkers for their diagnosis and treatment.

This special issue aims to promote the understanding of gynecological tumors in but is not limited to their gene mutation, gene expression alteration, epigenetic regulation, epidemiological statistics and etc. Paper type could be research article, review, short communications and commentary.
