Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Gynecological tumors include benign and malignant tumors. Most of these problems need to be solved by surgery. In recent years, as people pay more and more attention to beauty and fast recovery of minimally invasive surgery, Gynecological surgery has changed from traditional open surgery to laparoscopic surgery, and gradually changed from traditional laparoscopic surgery to single hole laparoscopic surgery. On this basis, trans-vaginal single hole laparoscopic technology, trans-umbilical micro incision single hole laparoscopic technology, gasless single hole laparoscopic technology and robot assisted single hole laparoscopic technology have been developed. In addition, micro non-invasive technologies such as high-intensity focusing ultrasound(HIFU), microwave ablation (MWA) and radiofrequency ablation(RWA) are more and more widely used in gynecological diseases. Minimally invasive surgery for gynecological benign tumors has been widely recognized; However, for gynecological malignancies, since the publication of LACC research in 2018, the application of minimally invasive surgery represented by laparoscopic surgery in gynecological malignancies has gradually been questioned. Since then, the rationality of minimally invasive surgery in gynecological malignant tumors has been debated. This special issue focuses on the new concept, new viewpoint, new methods and new progress of gynecological benign and malignant tumor surgery. We warmly welcome gynecological surgeons to submit their manuscripts.
